Register for the GRE
  • Enrolling with The Princeton Review does NOT register you for an actual test administration. If you need help registering, please visit About the GRE for complete test information including “How Do I Register?”
Complete Your Pre-Course Assignments
  • You will have full access to your Dashboard immediately when you enroll. Use the time before your first scheduled session to complete the pre-course assignments detailed below.
  • Take your first practice test. See additional information below and on the Resources tab of your Dashboard. The results from your first practice test will help you to determine your strengths and weaknesses. Knowing your strengths and weaknesses will, in turn, help you to prioritize your study time.
  • Review the material found below in the Information about the GRE section on the Resource tab of your Dashboard.
  • Prior to your first class, complete the three Strategies lessons on the Coursework tab. (These lessons are easiest to find if you switch to Syllabus view.)
  • Complete the lessons and drills in the Before section of Class One on the Coursework tab using the Syllabus view.
  • Read through the material on the Resource tab to familiarize yourself with the tools provided as part of your course.
  • If your textbook kit hasn’t arrived yet, go to the In Case You Did Not Receive Your Course Manual section of the Resource tab to download a PDF of the lesson you need for your first class.
Understand Your Course Schedule
  • Classes are led by a live instructor in a virtual classroom at the times listed in the Schedule tab of your Dashboard. The Go To Class link for your LiveOnline class session in the Schedule tab of your Dashboard will become active 15 minutes prior to the class start time. We encourage you to use this time to make sure that you are fully logged into the classroom for the start of the session.
  • Classes are interactive. Come prepared to learn by participating. Your success depends on mastering both content and specialized test taking techniques. Classes will involve reading questions aloud and working through problems to practice techniques. Your instructor will call on you! And bring an open mind because some techniques will be different than what you may have learned in other contexts.
  • Note that in rare cases when technical difficulties prevent students from logging in to the virtual classroom through the Dashboard, direct links may be sent out by email.
  • Consult the Before section for each class in the Coursework section to keep on top of pre-class assignments necessary for you to benefit fully from each session.
Take Your Computer Based Practice Tests
  • It’s important that you take practice tests as you progress through your course. You have 8 full-length practice tests available in your Dashboard. These tests are designed to duplicate the real GRE as closely as possible and include adaptive sections just like the real GRE.
  • We require that you take 5 tests during your program. These tests are found under your Practice Tests tab. Your first test needs to be taken prior to your first live class. Please refer to Information About Practice Tests located in your Resources tab for the full testing schedule for your program. The remaining tests may be used at your discretion.
  • After you have completed your tests, you may review your correct and incorrect answers by opening the completed test hyperlink and clicking on the question number (also hyperlinked) to review the question, the available answer choices, and answer explanations.
Homework
  • Homework to be completed after each class will be located in the After section of each class segment. Please make certain you are completing the required assignments in order to keep your Guarantee in place.
