2018 NCCEP/GEAR UP Capacity-Building Workshop Giveaway Official Rules
NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO PLAY OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCE OF WINNING. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW. BY PARTICIPATING IN THE 2018 NCCEP/GEAR UP CAPACITY-BUILDING WORKSHOP GIVEAWAY ("GIVEAWAY"), PARTICIPANT AGREES TO BE BOUND BY THESE OFFICIAL RULES, WHICH SHALL BE FINAL IN ALL RESPECTS.
1. ELIGIBILITY: The Giveaway is open only to legal residents of any of the fifty (50) U.S. states and the District of Columbia, who are eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of participation. The following persons are not eligible to participate: Employees, contractors, directors and officers of TPR Education, LLC ("Sponsor") and of its affiliates; the immediate family members (spouse, parent, child, sibling, grandparent, and/or "step") of each of the foregoing individuals and those persons, whether related or not, who have lived in the same residence for at least three months during the twelve-month period preceding the start date of the Giveaway); and distributors and promotion agencies involved in the administration, development, fulfillment and execution of this Giveaway.
2. GIVEAWAY PERIOD: The Giveaway begins at 7:00 am Pacific Standard Time (“PST”) on February 4, 2018 and ends at 12:00 pm PST on February 7, 2018
3. HOW TO ENTER: You may enter the Giveaway in any of the following ways: (i) in-person, visit Sponsor’s table at the 2018 NCCEP/GEAR UP Capacity-Building Workshop (“Workshop”) in Las Vegas, NV, and submit your name and email address (limit one (1) entry in this manner); (ii) online, sign-up and attend a 15-minute Homework Help demo at the Workshop during the Giveaway Period (limit one (1) entry in this manner) and/or (iii) by mail, by hand printing your name, complete address, email address, and date of birth either on a postcard or on a separate piece of paper no larger than 8 ½ X 11 inches, and mailing the postcard or paper in an envelope with the proper postage affixed to “The Princeton Review, Attn: 2018 NCCEP/GEAR UP Capacity-Building Workshop Giveaway, 110 E. 42nd Street, 7th floor, New York, NY 10017”. Entrants using US mail may enter as often as they wish. Mail-in entries must be postmarked by February 7, 2018 and received by February 12, 2018. Limit one (1) entry per stamped envelope. Mechanically reproduced or pre-printed mailing labels, or entries generated by script, macro or other automated or mechanical means, and entries by any other means which subvert the entry process will not be accepted. Mechanical stamping machines are acceptable. Incorrect, illegible, corrupt, and/or incomplete entries are void. All entries become the property of the Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned. By submitting an entry, entrant agrees to abide by the terms of these Official Rules.
4. RANDOM DRAWING : On or about February 12, 2018, Sponsor will select one (1) entry at random from among all eligible entries received. Odds of winning will depend upon the number of eligible entries received. If the selected winner is not an eligible to win the prize, fails to comply with the Official Rules and/or to submit any required documentation within the designated period, declines the prize for any reason, or cannot be reached using the contact information provided in the entry, that winner will be disqualified and the prize will be awarded to an alternate winner in a random drawing from among all remaining eligible entries.
5. WINNER NOTIFICATION. The winner will be notified via the contact information provided in the entry. Additionally, the name of the confirmed winner may be posted on Sponsor’s social media accounts.
6. PRIZE (1): The winner will receive 250 Homework Help hours to be used by the school of his or her choice (“Designated School”). Total Approximate Retail Value: $10,000.00. Winner may not transfer the prize (other than to the Designated School) or substitute the prize for another prize, but Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to substitute prize (or portion thereof) with one of comparable or greater value. Winners are responsible for all applicable federal, state and local taxes, if any, as well as any other costs and expenses associated with prize acceptance and use not specified herein as being provided. All prize details are at Sponsor’s sole discretion. Implementation of Homework Help with the Designated School must be scheduled by the last week of February 2018, and all hours must be used by the Designated School by December 31, 2018.
7. GENERAL: By entering Giveaway, entrant accepts and agrees to these Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor, which shall be final in all matters. By accepting the prize, winner agrees to hold Sponsor and its affiliates and their directors, officers, employees and agents harmless against any and all claims and liability arising out of use of prize. All federal and state laws apply.
8. USE OF INFORMATION: The information that you provide in connection with the Giveaway may be used for Sponsor's internal purposes and to send you information about Sponsor's products and special promotions and may be shared with Sponsor’ affiliates or third parties. 9. RELEASE: After receiving notification, the winner may be required to execute and return a Prize Verification Form and Publicity Release (unless prohibited by law) to the Sponsor within seven (7) days of notification.
10. WINNERS LIST: To obtain the name of the winner or a copy of these Official Rules, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to: The Princeton Review, Attn: 2018 NCCEP/GEAR UP Capacity-Building Workshop Giveaway, 110 East 42nd St., Suite 700, New York, NY 10017. Please specify “Official Rules” or “Winner List” and the Giveaway name on the front the envelope. VT residents need not include return postage for Official Rules requests.
