Official Rules
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCE OF WINNING. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW. BY PARTICIPATING IN SCORE CASH FOR COLLEGE GIVEAWAY ("GIVEAWAY"), ENTRANT AGREES TO BE BOUND BY THESE OFFICIAL RULES, WHICH SHALL BE FINAL IN ALL RESPECTS. IF YOU ARE A MINOR, ASK YOUR PARENT OR LEGAL GUARDIAN FOR PERMISSION AND TO HELP YOU ENTER.
1. ELIGIBILITY: This Giveaway is open only to legal residents of any of the fifty (50) United States, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and Canada (excluding Quebec) who are fourteen (14) years of age or older at the time of entry, and if a minor under the laws of their state of residence or providence have parent or guardian permission to enter. Entrants must have either a valid Social Security number, a valid U.S. personal tax identification number, and/or a Social Insurance Number for Canadian residents. Employees, contractors, directors and officers of TPR Education, LLC d/b/a The Princeton Review ("Sponsor") and its respective parent, subsidiaries and affiliated companies, and the immediate family members (spouse, parent, child, sibling, grandparent, and/or "step") of each and/or those living in their same households, whether or not related are not eligible to participate in or win this Giveaway. Void in Quebec or where prohibited. All federal, state, provincial, territorial, municipal, and local laws and regulations apply.
2. GIVEAWAY PERIOD: The Giveaway begins at 12:01 a.m. Eastern Standard Time (“EST”) on June 19, 2018 and ends at 11:59pm EST on July 3, 2018.
3. HOW TO ENTER: There are three methods to enter this Giveaway: (1) purchase an SAT or ACT Ultimate Course during the Giveaway Period; (2) purchase an SAT or ACT Self-pace Course during the Giveaway Period; and/or (3) by mail, by hand printing your name, complete address, email address, and date of birth either on a postcard or on a separate piece of paper, and mailing the postcard or paper in an envelope with the proper postage affixed to “The Princeton Review, Attn: Score Cash for College Giveaway, 110 E. 42nd Street, 7th floor, New York, NY 10017”. Each methods is equal to one (1) entry. Entrant may only receive a maximum of three (3) entries (one entry per each method). Mail-in entries must be postmarked by July 3, 2018 and received by July 7, 2018. Mechanically reproduced or pre-printed mailing labels or entries generated by script, macro or other automated or mechanical means and entries by any means which subvert the entry process will not be accepted. Incorrect, illegible, corrupt, and incomplete entries are void. All entries become the property of the Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned. By submitting an entry, entrant agrees to abide by the terms of these Official Rules and The Princeton Review Privacy Policy.
4. RANDOM DRAWING: On or about July 9, 2018, Sponsor will select one (1) entry at random from among all eligible entries received. Odds of winning will depend upon the number of eligible entries received. The return of any prize or prize notification as undeliverable may result in disqualification and an alternate winner will be selected. All decisions of the Sponsors are final.
5. WINNER NOTIFICATION: The winner will be notified via the contact information provided in the entry. Additionally, Sponsor may publish the winner’s name (first name, last initial) on Sponsor’s social media accounts. If winner is a Canadian resident, he/she will also be required to correctly answer a time-limited skill-testing question without any assistance within seventy two (72) hours of prize selection in order to be eligible to receive a prize.
The potential winner may be required to execute and return an Affidavit of Eligibility/Release of Liability/Publicity form within seven (7) days of date of attempted notification. If a potential winner is a resident of a jurisdiction that deems him/her to be a Minor, his/her parent or legal guardian will be required to sign the Affidavit/Release on his/her behalf. If a potential winner is not an eligible entry, fails to comply with the Official Rules and/or to submit any required documentation within the designated period, or declines the Prize for any reason that Winner will be disqualified and the prize will be awarded to an alternate winner in a random drawing from among all remaining eligible entries. Sponsor is not responsible for any change to your email or mailing address and/or telephone number.
6. PRIZE (1) : The winner will receive $5,000.00. Total Approximate Retail Value: $5,000.00. The winner may not substitute, assign or transfer prize, but Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to substitute prize (or portion thereof) with one of comparable or greater value. If the winner is a resident of a jurisdiction that deems him/her to be a Minor, the Prize may be awarded to winner’s parent or legal guardian on their behalf. Winners are responsible for all applicable federal, state, provincial and local taxes, if any, as well as any other costs and expenses associated with prize acceptance and use not specified herein as being provided . All prize details are at Sponsor’s sole discretion.
7. GENERAL: By entering Giveaway, entrant accepts and agrees to these Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor, which shall be final in all matters. By accepting prize, winner agrees to hold Sponsor and its parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees and assigns harmless against any and all claims and liability arising out of use of prize. Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion (unless prohibited by law), to cancel, suspend or modify the Giveaway, or to disqualify any implicated entrant(s), (and their entries) if any fraud, virus, actions by entrants, technical or other error or problem, or any other occurrence corrupts or affects the administration, integrity, security, or proper play of the Giveaway, as determined by Sponsor at its sole discretion. In the event of cancellation, Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to award the prize in a random drawing from among all eligible, non-suspect entries received up to the time of the event or action warranting such cancellation. In the event this Giveaway is cancelled prior to the stated end date, a notice will be posted at Sponsor’s social media pages.
8. GRANT OF RIGHTS: By entering this Giveaway, each entrant (and if entrant is considered a minor in his state or providence of residence, then the parent or legal guardian of entrant) irrevocably grants Sponsor and its affiliates, (collectively, the “Released Entities”) the right to use the entrant’s name (first name and last initial), likeness, biographical information, in perpetuity, throughout the universe, in all media and formats, whether now known or later developed, for commercial purposes and any other purposes (including, without limitation, advertising and promotion, without compensation unless prohibited by law.
9. USE OF INFORMATION: By entering this Giveaway, entrant expressly agree to receive future marketing emails Sponsor and will be automatically opted in to receiving such emails. You may opt out of receiving such emails at any time via the unsubscribe links in the footer of each email. Additionally, the information that you provide in connection with the Giveaway may be used for Sponsor's internal purposes and may be shared with Sponsor’ affiliates or third parties. 10. GOVERNING LAW: This Giveaway and the rights and obligations of the Sponsors and participants will be governed by and controlled by the laws of the State of New York, applicable to contracts made and performed therein without reference to the applicable choice of law provisions. All actions, proceedings, or litigation relating hereto will be instituted and prosecuted solely within the State of New York, County of New York. The parties consent to the jurisdiction of the state courts of New York and federal court located with such state and county with respect to any action, dispute, or other matter pertaining to or arising out of this Giveaway.
11. WINNERS LIST: The name (first name and last initial) of the confirmed winner may be posted on Sponsor’s social media or to obtain the names of the winners or a copy of these Official Rules send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to: The Princeton Review, Attn: Score Cash for College Giveaway, 110 East 42nd St., Suite 700, New York, NY 10017. Please specify “Official Rules” or “Winner List” and the Giveaway name on the front the envelope. VT residents need not include return postage for Official Rules requests
