Since 1918, Seton Hill University, founded by the Sisters of Charity, has been helping students discover their paths and follow them with confidence. It begins with our academic programs. From the visual and performing arts to entrepreneurial studies to biochemistry, we offer degrees that fit your needs and your expectations. And because we are a Catholic liberal arts university, you’ll leave Seton Hill with more than just a degree. You’ll leave as an individual ready to transform the world. Seton Hill embraces exploration. That’s why we offer more than 35 undergraduate majors and provide numerous internship opportunities. Graduate degrees are offered in nine programs, including the MS in Physician Assistant and the MBA. At Seton Hill, you will learn with 1,800 students, from all walks of life, representing more than 35 states, 21 foreign countries, and a world of perspectives. The building of life-long habits of fitness and wellness are an important part of education at Seton Hill. Students participate in sports including baseball, basketball, cross-country, equestrian team competition, field hockey, golf, lacrosse, softball, soccer, tennis, football, and volleyball on both the varsity and intramural levels. More than 40 student clubs and organizations cover professional interests including education, communication, chemistry, and business, as well as academic pursuits, such as honors coursework. Teaching students to think critically is part of our mission at Seton Hill. Since classes remain small—student-to-faculty ratio is just 16:1—expect professors to question everything and then push you to find the answers. You will learn to make connections between abstract concepts and real-world situations, solve problems creatively, and examine data analytically. In the process, you’ll gain something much more valuable than knowledge. We call it wisdom. At Seton Hill, academic excellence is in the size of our classes. We keep them small so you can dive deep into subjects, ask a lot of questions, and have meaningful interactions with your classmates and professors. It is also in what we call our “liberal arts core,” required courses that teach you to think, reason, and solve problems—skills that employers not only desperately seek, but skills that will help you throughout life. Academic excellence is in the wide range of undergraduate and graduate degrees we offer. It’s in our honors program, which takes learning to the next level by introducing students to distinctive out-of-classroom experiences and interdisciplinary approaches to subjects. It’s in our faculty, who are sought-after leaders in their fields, and passionate about teaching. And it’s in our expectations of you. We set the bar high because we want you to excel academically, professionally, and personally.
