Cluster courses (a program that provides opportunities for students and faculty to study and learn together in courses grouped in interdisciplinary clusters of three. Three faculty members teach these courses that meet together once every week to help students see the interdisciplinary connections). Students must also take a course in health or movement science, one course in racism and/or sexism, and a course in some aspect of non-Western culture. The University's University Core Curriculum (the Core) is William Paterson University's new general education program that gives students the flexibility to customize their undergraduate academic experience by selecting from a broad range of courses in a wide variety of fields and disciplines. The curriculum may be connected with the major and helps students become well-educated citizens both locally and globally.
