Sarah Lawrence College has no formal majors. However students may concentrate in subject areas. All students design their own educational programs (with faculty advisement), so the equivalent of a "double major" is available. We have a 3-2 program where students can get their B.A. degree and M.S.Ed. in The Art of Teaching or M.A. in Women's History. We also have a 3-2 program in which the student receives a B.A. in the Liberal Arts from Sarah Lawrence and a B.S. in Engineering from Columbia.

Other required coursework:
Students must complete 120 credit hours and meet distribution requirements in 3 of 4 areas: History and Social Sciences; Natural Sciences and Math; Humanities; and Creative and Performing Arts. Additionally, there is a credit maximum of 60 credits in the Creative Arts and 80 credits in the other three disciplines.
