|Types of Transportation Available to Campus:|
Travel by air: Montreal is serviced by the Trudeau International Airport. The airport is approximately 20 kilometers (12 miles) west of downtown Montreal. Buses, limousines, and taxis provide quick, efficient shuttle service between the airport, the major hotels and the city centre. For detailed information on flights to and from Montreal please see the Aeroports de Montreal website: http://www.admtl.com/ .
Travel by train or bus: If you are coming by train you will be traveling by either VIA Rail (within Canada) or Amtrak (from the United States) arriving at Central Station, a few blocks from McGill. The easiest way to get to McGill is to head north through the underground shopping concourse of Place Ville Marie. You should exit at Cathcart Street and McGill College Avenue and follow McGill College Avenue north three blocks to Sherbrooke Street where you will see the Roddick Gates of McGill University.
Alternatively, you may be arriving by bus. All major bus lines have a final destination of Berri terminal. From there you can take a taxi to the University or use the subway. Montreal is well served by a clean and efficient underground subway system known as "the Metro". Take the Metro green line marked "Direction Angrignon" and get off at either the McGill or Peel station, both just a few blocks from the main campus.
|Driving Instructions to Campus:|
Travel by car: McGill University (downtown campus) is located in the heart of Montreal, the third largest French speaking city in the world and the most important city in the province of Quebec, Canada.
