The Town of Elon is located next to Burlington, North Carolina. The nearest major airports are Piedmont Triad International www.flyfrompit.com (located in Greensboro just 30 minutes from campus) and Raleigh-Durham International Airport www.rdu.com (about a 50-minute drive from Elon). Also available are train and bus stations within ten minutes of Elon's campus, as well as campus shuttle services to both major airports on our large break weeks/weekends.
Elon is situated in the beautiful Piedmont section of North Carolina. The town of Elon is adjacent to Burlington, known for its textile manufacturers and outlet shopping. Twenty minutes to the west is Greensboro. Winston-Salem, Durham, Chapel Hill and Raleigh are all within an hour's drive, as are more than a dozen other colleges and universities including Duke, Wake Forest, N.C. State and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Elon is also centrally located between the mountains and the beaches. The mountains are 2 1/2 hours to the west, and North and South Carolina beaches are 3 to 4 1/2 hours to the east.
|Driving Instructions to Campus:|
Take Interstate 85/40 to Exit 140 (University Drive). From southbound 85/40, exit right and turn right. From northbound 85/40, exit right and turn left.
Turn right onto Boone Station Drive, and then immediately left at St. Mark's Church Road.
Follow this road for 1.4 miles. Note the road's name changes to Williamson Avenue after crossing S. Church Street. You will cross railroad tracks as you enter campus.
Turn right at the stoplight on Haggard Avenue.
Turn left at the stoplight on N. O'Kelly Ave. Take the first left into the Visitors Parking Lot at Moseley Center.
