Student Testimonials
Latefa Abdel-Khaleq

I decided to come to Manchester because I loved the atmosphere. Every one was friendly and willing to help me decide if MC could meet MY needs and wants. Everyone is amazing; Professors are especially nice and willing to help you succeed. I just finished studying abroad for the whole year in Athens, Greece for the same price as taking classes at MC. The experience was incredible and life changing! What I found at Manchester was the chance to be involved in clubs and other activities that I may have never thought would be open to me.

I decided to attend Manchester College because I was offered a good price for a great education. I play football and think that played a major part in my decision. I like all the opportunities you have on campus to better yourselves. The professors give you many opportunities to take your education to the next level. They care about you as a person and want you to succeed. I never expected to want to change the world. Coming to this College has opened my eyes to many different views upon the world. Seeing these views makes me want to be the person to change the world one person at a time. At Manchester I found the opportunity to expand my knowledge of the world with a well-rounded education. I also found lifelong friends. Attending Manchester has changed my life!

Manchester offered me a great scholarship with the option to study abroad and the campus was beautiful and welcoming. I really like the size of MC. My professors know my name and my classmates are my friends. During the 2008 January term I traveled to Costa Rica to study Spanish. I'd always thought traveling sounded fun, but I never expected to have some of the amazing experiences I had in Costa Rica. At Manchester I found the opportunity to change. MC is constantly trying to push its' students to be more than what they are. I love that I have room to grow here and I know they are preparing me for a successful career as a teacher.

I decided to come to Manchester College because they offered me a lot of financial aid, the school was small and intimate, and when I met the choir director I knew that my love of music wouldn't be stifled just because I wasn't a music major. I love being able to be involved in activities and branch out and meet new people. I was very reserved in high school and only talked to my friends. I also didn't want to go out for many activities because I was shy. At Manchester I've been able to come into my own and I'm very grateful for that chance. I never thought I'd have the chance or the drive to be in this many leadership positions. It's a lot of responsibility but I love it! At Manchester College, I found several things. I found a home, friends, a place where I could be myself, new interests and passions, a place to discover who I am and who I want to be, a place that will let me try new things, a place that values me as a person, and a place that I will miss once I leave.

I decided to attend Manchester because I felt like I was already going to be a big part of campus when I came for a visit. The people here were so nice and they made me feel so welcome. I love the fact that the classes are small and that I have gotten to know some of my profs outside of the classroom. It is so cool to go to a basketball game and cheer along with your profs that you had in class earlier that day. I have gotten so close with new friends and have made a new family for my self away from home. I never expected to do undergraduate research as a freshman. I worked with two other students to do a population study and then presented it at the Dean's Research Symposium. It is something that I would have never done at a larger college or university. What I found at MC is a home away from home. I love it here. I have made so many friendships that I will cherish for the rest of my life. I love my friends and think of them as my family.
