SUNY Geneseo provides a comprehensive education while not digging deeply into students’ pockets. In-state credit hours are only a bit more than $200, while out-of-state students can expect to pay closer to $600 for each hour. Books and supplies will come to about $1,000. There are plenty of ways to lower costs at the school, however. More than 60 percent of freshmen receive financial assistance, and the school is able to meet 75 percent of total need. The average aid package is over $8,000, and freshman need-based gift aid surpasses $4,000. Undergrads here can expect to graduate with approximately $21,000 in loan debt.
