Career Experience

I began tutoring at a young age. I was able to see math much clearer than other people, so that allowed me to guide them in the process of understanding problems. Even though I found math understandable, there were some blockages when approaching certain concepts. I studied chemical engineering in the university, which expanded my knowledge of math in many ways. I worked as an engineer for many years. After quitting my corporate job and starting my practice, I was able to unblock parts of my being that were connected to math, and after a long journey, I can guide students in a more holistic way when working with math problems. I am merely a guide (some call me tutor, some call me teacher) that allows you to expand your capacity at grasping math concepts in order for you to achieve your career goals. I think Lawson State Community College needs to look at whether or not a student is involved in a program where tutoring is available. I explained to my tutor that I had to complete a tutoring session as a class assignment, but I did not require any help. She took some time to show how a tutoring session operated with some of the tools if I needed to know how to use them in the future. Overall, she was helpful and courteous.
