Career Experience
I have had experience as a chief financial officer in the manufacturing industry and used many accounting methods and systems as well as following the generally accepted accounting principles. I have also worked in healthcare as an associate vice president of strategic planning and business development and an associate vice president of support services over a network of four hospitals and 22 health clinics. This required that I assess the financial performance of several departments by using managerial accounting and financial ratios to determine our progress toward our goals. Currently, I am the chief operations officer at a hospital, providing administrative oversight for all hospital and outpatient services. I use financial reports to review our financial performance, ratios to analyze the financial results, and metrics to review whether we are meeting our goals. I also review productivity data to evaluate our volume of patients treated, the costs per treatment, and the staffing and resource needs we may have.
