Career Experience

My teaching experience includes 16 years in history and social studies. I have taught dual enrollment and/or advanced placement classes in United States History, European History, and Psychology as well as other social studies electives. I coached students in various contests that required excellent writing skills, including National History Day, Mock Trial, the Peace Essay and Law Day Essay contests. Several of my students won state and national titles.

I Love Tutoring Because

I like to see the excitement of students when they master something they have struggled with. I also think working one-on-one with students is the best way to ensure student success, even when they just need a pat on the back that says, "Nicely done."

I really enjoyed the teacher in this session. She was very patient and kept help me strategize even when I was in a tough spot. I went from having no hook to having a decent hook. I think this session really helped me start on my hook and hopefully I will be able to use this hook as a starting point to further improve my writing.

The tutor was very helpful. However, the audio issue on Tutor.com is constant. I have emailed help center. I never ever get contacted by them. Why is that? No use leaving a message - I never get returned calls either. Why is that? I am sure I will not get a respond.
