Career Experience

For the past 20 years, I have been working for a school district in a small Connecticut town. I am certified in language arts and love to share my knowledge of books and language with students. Past work experiences also gave me opportunities to become a better writer, and I am always willing to pass on ideas and help to students with writing assignments.

I Love Tutoring Because

I am able to interact with so many people from so many areas and backgrounds. It is fascinating to me to see what students are working on and creating.

Responses could be quicker. The tutor marked feedback within the Word doc itself instead of directly saying it in chat. This slowed down communication, and it doesn't even show up on the transcript since it was screenshare.

I appreciate all of the feedback that I didn't get first. It is hard submitting for a 2nd time and getting different ratings on topics, the first reviewer gave me exemplary on the fourth rating whereas the second reviewer only gave me accomplished.
