Career Experience
I have been tutoring high school and collegiate level mathematics since 2006. My first tutoring experience was as a supplemental instructor for college algebra courses where I led group tutoring sessions for entire classes. Since then I have been tutoring individual students for nearly a decade now, both in-person and online, in freshman and sophomore level university coursework. I have been a Tutor.com tutor since 2012 and I tutor algebra, geometry, trigonometry, pre-calculus, and calculus.
I Love Tutoring Because
I have tutored math subjects for ten years now, and it is a job that has never felt like work. I love working with people. I love math. Doing anything at all with math is fun for me, though I would never have guessed that when I was younger. Math was my least favorite subject from elementary school almost all the way through high school, and I often struggled with it. As I got older and entered into college, math subjects got easier and more enjoyable. I progressed in my studies so much so that I chose to major in mathematics and became a mathematics tutor. I know all the ins and outs of math problems, and there is nothing more satisfying than being able to share this knowledge and expertise with students. I love working with math problems, but even more than that, I love knowing that I’ve helped someone else achieve real understanding of the subject, especially if I can make it as easy and fun for them as it is for me :-)
