Career Experience
I began tutoring in 2012 as an intern at my university's writing center. There I worked one-on-one with students and collaborated with professors and writing center staff to ensure students received the assistance they needed. I assisted students with their academic writing skills, often helping them gain a better understanding of not only the writing process, but also other concepts such as grammar and spelling. Around 2018, I moved to online, one-on-one and small group tutoring. Since then, I have also provided instruction in English concepts ranging from sentence structure and thesis statement writing to literary analysis and theory.
I Love Tutoring Because
I absolutely love when a student realizes that he/she is capable of doing anything! English is one of the most difficult languages to learn, even for native speakers. I enjoy being able to help learners realize that despite its challenges, English concepts can be learned with relative ease. I always find joy when students realize that they can succeed!
