Students Say

The MBA program at University of Houston—Victoria is perfect for busy professionals who need flexibility. Students have “online and in-person courses available, [as well as] evening class sessions.” Many “love the learning environment with small class sizes” and have had positive experiences collaborating with their peers. As one student notes, “The groupwork helped me learn to talk with colleagues and manage a project with more than one opinion that mattered in the outcome.” Leading these classes are some of the best assets of the program: the “great and helpful faculty and staff.” Professors, according to their students, have a "diversity of knowledge" and expertise that many students claim is the school's "greatest strength." These instructors also proudly carry a reputation for trying to “help [students] individually and as a group to advance [their] knowledge and skillset.” This extends beyond the classroom and to post-graduation plans as professors share “honest opinions on how to advance [students'] careers.” University of Houston—Victoria students benefit not only from a “very affordable” education, but one that “provides the in-depth knowledge required from an MBA program” to help them make an impact in their field.

Campus Life

Students Say

Because MBA students have wildly varying class schedules, several students feel that they “do not have much access to student life” and that “most of the activities and groups are for the undergrad programs.” However, graduate students acknowledge that UHV makes every effort to “support the students that may have needs outside of the campus.” MBA students are “determined and ambitious” and have a lot going on, but they are still able to find community in their peers who are “nice and ready to help.”
