Admissions Requirements
Of the 88 positions in a class, 68 are reserved for Oklahoma residents. Prerequisites for application are 8-10 semester hours of Biology, Physics, Chemistry, and Organic Chemistry with labs, in addition to 6-8 hours of English, and at least 1 upper division science course. The minimum overall undergraduate GPA is 3.0, with a minimum Science GPA of 2.75. An average score of 7.0 (21 total) on the MCAT is required. Approximately 10 percent of all qualified applicants are interviewed. Interviews begin in October and continue through April. Applicants are interviewed simultaneously by 2 faculty members (1 D.O. and 1 Ph.d.) for 35-40 minutes. Notification of admission occurs on a rolling basis, and about 35 to 40 percent of interviewees are accepted.
