Admissions Requirements
Priority consideration is given to Minnesota residents who wish to become family medicine physicians in a rural Minnesota setting or American Indian community. Applicants from other states who demonstrate a high potential and motivation for practicing medicine in rural Minnesota or an American Indian community will also be considered. Applicants must have completed all requirements for a baccalaureate degree by the time of possible matriculation. Prerequisites are one Biology course with a lab, one Chemistry course with a lab, four additional science courses (two of which must be upper division), and an upper division Humanities or Social Sciences course with an extensive writing component. The MCAT is required, and scores must be no more than three years old.
