Bio:

Chris Aylward has been teaching for The Princeton Review since 2001—though it began as a part-time endeavor, Chris found he loved teaching so much that he just couldn’t stop! Dating back to his early days tutoring friends in college, Chris finds it rewarding to see the “aha!” moment as the lightbulb of understanding flares on. He doubly enjoys helping students “stick it to the man” by conquering tests so they can attend their top schools.

Chris excels at understanding each students specific needs—both educational and emotional—and creating tailored tutoring to meet those needs. Test anxiety keeping you down? Driven to get that perfect score to qualify for a scholarship? Struggling to meet the minimum score for the program? Pacing issues? Challenging content? No matter the need, Chris has a game plan. He has helped students of all backgrounds and score ranges meet their admissions goals.

Chris has been contributing to The Princeton Review’s research and development department for many years: he has developed, written, proofed, and edited ACT, SAT, GRE, and GMAT content for The Princeton Review’s course materials, diagnostic tests, web content, and self-help books (notably the Cracking … series). In addition to his tutoring and R&D work, Chris is also a Master Trainer for the GRE and SAT.

Originally from Poughkeepsie, New York, Chris holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from SUNY New Paltz. He loves being active outside and has moved to sunny Florida to live his dreams. Chris is also a musician (guitar and bass) and composes and plays to relax. A furniture and home décor woodworker, he enjoys the art of design and making things with his hands.
Now residing in St Augustine, FL, Chris is available for in-person tutoring in most of northeast Florida. Chris is also available for online tutoring, anytime from anywhere.
