Tuition, Room, Board and Fees
A Trinity University degree can be one of your best investments. For educational value, Trinity has placed consistently among the top universities in the nation. The University is a privately supported institution. The educational and operating expenses are provided by payments from students; income from endowment funds; appropriations and gifts from trustees, alumni, foundations, businesses, industries, churches, and generous-spirited individuals. Tuition and fees cover less than half the actual cost per student. The difference is paid from the sources indicated above. Thus, each full-time student attending Trinity receives, in effect, an annual subsidy in addition to any other scholarship or student aid granted to individual students.
For the 2019-2020 school year, tuition is $44,680, room and board is $13,584 and technology and activity fees are $616.
Financial Aid
A top-quality Trinity education is an invaluable investment with benefits that last a lifetime. An investment of this magnitude is not without cost, and we understand that students and their families may need assistance to address these expenses. Toward that end, Trinity offers a comprehensive financial aid program of scholarships, grants, loans, and campus employment opportunities. The average financial aid package for undergraduates with need is $34,809, and 56% of students graduate with no debt.

Respect. Engagement. Equity. Inclusion. Understanding. At Trinity University, we use these five words not only to define diversity, but also community. We believe that community cannot exist without diversity and that diversity cannot be fruitful without a vibrant community. Trinity students are bold, smart, clever, and creative, and have a passion for making a positive impact on the world around them. They come to Trinity from all over the state, nation, and world to study, research, learn, discover, and grow.
From the moment you first step foot onto campus, you will be introduced to the endless ways to step outside the classroom and your comfort zone. From making new friends in the first year residence halls, to attending different classes to discover your passions, to learning about Greek life, student organizations, and service opportunities--your first year at Trinity is a truly memorable experience.
Campus life at Trinity is vibrant, active, friendly, and connected. Trinity offers students countless outlets to make friends, exercise talents, and serve others. It is the norm here to be engaged in activities outside the classroom, to take on leadership roles, and to try out new pursuits. Trinity is a place where ideas, passions, and questions can be fully explored. With over 100 campus clubs and student organizations, you'll find something for every interest.
Whether you're looking to join a stellar intercollegiate team, play club or intramural sports, or exercise in state-of-the-art athletic and fitness facilities, Trinity's athletics and fitness programs have something for you. Trinity's model intercollegiate athletics program has been cited for its perfect balance of academics and athletics. Our student-athletes regularly earn Academic All-America Honors and NCAA postgraduate scholarships. And in recent years we've won four NCAA team championships as well as four individual track and field national titles. Trinity's Club Sports program also offers students opportunities for national competition and leadership in seven sports. Have more enthusiasm than skill? Try our popular Intramurals program!

From The School
Location
Noted for red brick buildings, native live oaks, beautiful grounds, and sparkling fountains, Trinity University encompasses 125 acres situated on a hilltop overlooking downtown San Antonio. Trinity is known for its stimulating, resourceful, and collaborative environment in the classroom, on campus, and around the world. Our campus setting is the perfect place to learn and grow.
Campus Facilities & Equipment
Trinity University values its academic resources, among them its state-of-the-art teaching, researching, and learning facilities. Lecture halls, laboratories, offices, libraries, and study spaces strengthen collaborative teaching and learning--they are an investment in our future. From science and engineering laboratories to an extensive library collection to theaters, halls, and galleries: students and faculty at Trinity are encouraged to utilize the full range of academic resources and facilities to support their research and studies.
In the Center for the Sciences & Innovation (CSI), Trinity's science and engineering programs offer students cutting-edge instrumentation usually found only at the graduate level. Trinity's science labs are consistently ranked among the best in the nation. Students utilize shared instrumentation along with controlled environmental chambers, two high-field nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometers, genetic sequence analyzer, fiber optics/photonics laboratory, an observatory with eight computer-guided telescopes, a laser and soft-matter dynamics laboratory, high-pressure liquid and capillary gas chromatographs and capillary electrophoresis. The CSI also houses the Marrs McLean Science Center and the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
Recently renovated, the Ruth Taylor Fine Arts Center is composed of three buildings: the Smith music building, which houses classrooms, practice studios, and the Ruth Taylor Recital Hall; the Dicke art building, which features spacious art studios flooded with natural light, digital photo labs, and an art gallery; and the Ruth Taylor Theater building, which features the 500-seat Stieren Theater, one of the most advanced theatrical facilities at an undergraduate college. Trinity is part of an elite network of schools that are All-Steinway campuses.
At the Richardson Communication Center, students have access to an interactive multimedia lab, two television stations with control rooms, and the students for KRTU-FM--which is not only the campus radio station, but also San Antonio's largest outlet for jazz music.
Off-Campus Opportunities
San Antonio is often referred to as having a small-town feel, even though it is the seventh-largest city in America. Trinity's campus is only 3 miles from the heart of downtown, which allows the Trinity community to experience everything from music shows on the St. Mary's Strip to art events like First Friday to farmer's markets at the Pearl. Professional sports teams such as the five-time NBA champion San Antonio Spurs, the Missions (a Double-A affiliate of the San Diego Padres), the NASL Scorpions, and events like the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo and Fiesta bring millions of people to San Antonio each year to celebrate its unique local culture.
Do you love being outdoors? With more than 300 days of sunshine per year, there are countless opportunities to take advantage of South Texas' great weather. For more than 25 years, Outdoor Recreation (O-Rec) has led groups of Trinity students on adventures across the country. They crawl among cacti, paddle scenic rivers, and climb high mountains. Whether you are an expert mountaineer or you have never been inside a tent, they have trips for you! Do you want to see the world? Trinity's Study Abroad Program is dedicated to helping students develop their understanding of international issues in a complex world through study options that promote intercultural learning as an integral part of a student's Trinity undergraduate degree. Study Abroad is not about travel. It's really about encountering the world, and even more about discovering the country and yourself.
