What is the Official GMAT Guide?

Produced by GMAC, the guide includes practice questions from “retired” GMAT exams, a math/grammar content review, sample essay answers, and a diagnostic test.

Math and and verbal supplements, The Official Guide for GMAT ®  Quantitative Review and The Official Guide for GMAT ® Verbal Review,  are sold separately. You can also purchase the entire series as a bundle.

What’s new in the 2018 edition?

GMAC says that the 2018 edition features 15% new content across the three guides. New-to-the-guide questions are pulled from past GMAT exams. The latest edition contains 220 new questions:

  • 130 new questions in the GMAT Official Guide, including :
    • 61 quantitative questions
    • 61 verbal questions
    • 8 integrated reasoning questions (available online)
  • 45 new questions in the Verbal Review
  • 45 new questions in the Quantitative Review
