Students Say

Xavier University is known to local Cincinnatians as “the best business school in [the] city” and across the country for its “great entrepreneurship program,” so it is no surprise that Xavier's MBA students feel well-prepared to make an impact in the business world. “Xavier is a great university that has their students’ success as their first priority.” Those enrolled in the MBA program note that it is “highly collaborative as well as competitive” and feel that all curriculum fulfills one of the Jesuit school's main mission: “Cura personalis: care of the whole person." Whether students are taking an online or hybrid course, they respond that “each course is designed around a framework intent on serving the individual.” Students know that if they need assistance or have questions, their “professors are willing to go the extra mile to help.” Ultimately, graduates leave confident in their career prospects given the exceptional education and support they’ve received at Xavier.

There are plenty of networking and career development opportunities while completing your MBA, beginning with connecting with your cohort. Whether you’re full- or part-time, “administrators work to plan events to keep online and in-person students connected.” All networking “events are well-organized” and include activities like “visits from local business to discuss their company and potential hiring as well as off-campus visits to company locations.” Xavier’s online MBA program offers unparalleled opportunities for career advancement that continue to provide benefits long after graduation.

Campus Life

Students Say

Those who like to hit the ground running will feel right at home at Xavier's welcome-week events. It's a good introduction to the “professional, very friendly, and very supportive” students, peers who are described as “career-driven individuals that recognize the importance of a professional degree in the workplace.” The student body has an array of professional goals ranging from “entrepreneurial ambitions…[to] careers in business law.” Students are able to come together and work towards reaching these goals a reality by participating in the Graduate Student Association. The GSA gives students the “chance to weigh in on what Graduate Student Association does” and “does a great job involving MBA students with ongoing activities and recruiting to join the board.” There are plenty of chances to have your voice heard and contribute ideas for networking, career development, or fellowship opportunities. Current students say that Xavier “does well communicating to the student body” what’s going on, making it relatively easy to find the perfect activities, events, or opportunities to supplement classwork.
