Transportation

Types of Transportation Available to Campus
The Roanoke Airport is 50 miles from campus. Taxis, limousines, and rental cars are available for the ride from airport to campus. For limousine reservations, call Lexington Limousine and Transportation Service based in Lexington (540) 461-1117 or (540) 464-5466 (lexlimousine@gmail.com) or Roanoke Airport Limousine Service (540.345.7710).

Driving Instructions to Campus
From the north, take I-81 S. to the first Lexington exit and follow U.S. Rte. 11 S., which becomes Main St. in Lexington. On Rte. 11, you pass Virginia Military Institute and then enter the Washington and Lee campus, 8 miles from I-81. From the south, take I-81 N. to the second Lexington exit and I-64 W.; from I-64 W. follow posted directions to U.S. Rte. 11 S. Rte. 11 S. brings you onto the Washington and Lee campus, 2 miles from I-64.

Local Accommodations
A popular choice and a favorite with college kids is the warm and friendly Llewellyn Lodge (603 S. Main St.; 540.463.3235 or 800.882.1145), within walking distance of the university. The moderate price includes a full breakfast. Tennis courts, a public outdoor pool, and golf are nearby. Col Alto is a restored historic home and now part of the Hampton Inns (401 E.
