Career Experience
After college graduation, I worked with minicomputers and PCs at a Fortune 500 company for 10 years. From there, I moved on to a startup where I spent several years working primarily on UNIX workstations. I left that firm about 25 years ago to venture out as a lone web developer. I have extensive experience with HTML, CSS, XML, PHP, Javascript, MySQL, jQuery, and Apache, as well as prior exposure to ASP, Cold Fusion, C, C++, COBOL, Basic, FORTRAN, LISP, and more. I have also written for a number of industry publications, as well as a business journal. Currently, I am also teaching PHP/MySQL as an adjunct instructor at a local community college.
I Love Tutoring Because
it is rewarding to provide the impetus for someone else to get started in a field that I am proficient in. Often, it can be daunting at first, and a tutor can help someone make those first long strides toward their goals.
