I’ve worked as a tutor for the past six years in order to supplement the income from my novels. I have worked independently as well as through a college preparatory academy, and my specialties are AP Lang&Lit/Comp, SAT&ACT Reading/Writing, and of course college essays and higher-level reading comprehension.

I Love Tutoring Because

I enjoy teaching excited students regardless of their age or background, and sharing my love of all things English. Everyone's mind is different, and there is nothing more rewarding than puzzling out just the right way to explain something so that it clicks with the individual!

I wanted voice and text, but again one option was not available during my session. This is not the tutor's fault though. I have wasted 29 minutes instead of way less due to having to wait for typing time to communicate. The tutor was professional and patient, but I can't do this over only text.

She immediately advised me that she isn't too familiar with Bluebook citations so it was good to know that up front. All I needed was someone to let me know if it sounded correct to them and she did exactly that! Plus, she gave me a diagram to use for future reference!! Afterwards, she offered me to get a second opinion from a different tutor, I'm guessing since my question was new to her, which also made me feel better. I am very pleased!!!! Thank you!!
