Career Experience
I have been a teacher for thirty years, seventeen as a third/fourth grade classroom teacher, thirteen as a substitute and teacher of enrichment classes for gifted students. I have published two historical nonfiction books for middle-grade readers and have been a tutor with Tutor.com since April 2023.
I Love Tutoring Because
I can focus on one student and one piece of writing at a time. I get thirty minutes or an hour to help a student over a learning hurdle or simply make progress on a pressing assignment. Nothing is more satisfying than a thank you with an exclamation point in the chat box at the end of a lesson.
