Career Experience
I've been working in education since 2013 when I got back from studying in Hungary. I started off teaching adult education, helping students of all ages get the education they needed for their next step. I also worked as a substitute for the school system, and for a program helping at risk youth ages 16-24, before finally getting started with the school system. I worked in elementary for a year, middle school for a year, and finally settled into high school teaching for several years. It has been a wild ride, but teaching has always been my passion.
I Love Tutoring Because
it lets me work one on one to help students directly with what they need. In a large classroom, the curriculum is structured so that each day's lessons are based on what the students "should" know and teaches the content they will need to know in order to be successful in their next steps. This means that the pace can't be slowed down or students will miss important content... it feels like people get left behind that way. In tutoring, no one gets left behind. ^_^
