The Citation in the middle of the quote in one of my paragraphs is because the citation was part of the quote itself.

Thank you Smita for the feedback. I will work on that clunky sentence. I've been told and have seen many examples where the period comes directly after the block quote, before the parenthesis. For example: the period goes here. (p. 24)
