Career Experience
I taught as an English instructor at the university and community college levels for a total of 9 years. I taught the research and writing process for the different genres of essays, including the persuasive, analytical, argumentative, or informative essay, as well as citing and formatting in the MLA, APA, and Chicago/Turabian styles. I also tutored middle and high school students as well as adults for 6 years. I helped in developing his/her/their critical thinking skills, academic writing, grammar, as well as test prep (ACT/SAT and GED).
I Love Tutoring Because
I get to work with the student one-on-one with his/her/their specific needs, answering specific questions and working at his/her/their own pace. I enjoy seeing my students succeed!
