Career Experience
I started my career working for an environmental health agency in the food and pool safety section. I used scientific principles to evaluate the health and safety of the food service industry using concepts that I learned in biology, microbiology and chemistry classes. Then I moved to the hazardous materials surveillance section where I used concepts that I learned in chemistry, organic chemistry and physics to evaluate the health and safety of manufacturing facilities related to the storage and handling of hazardous materials and hazardous waste. These positions allowed me to utilize ideas and reinforce the things I learned in school.
I Love Tutoring Because
I can help boost someone's self worth and confidence. Being a tutor allows me to interact with different people of all ages. I have tutored my kids and some people I attended college with. I love that I get to personalize my way of teaching and provide individual tutoring sessions. These sessions really allow me to get to know the student and understand their skills and help with their challenges.
