Career Experience

I was a high school English and journalism teacher for 36 years and am recently retired. During my career I taught English in all grades 7-12 and also taught an upper level college writing course to college-bound high school seniors.

I Love Tutoring Because

I enjoy the variety of topics and grade levels that I have the opportunity to tutor, and I really enjoy the one-on-one teaching environment that tutoring allows. It is also very rewarding when a student who has struggled with a concept now fully understands it, thanks to the tutoring session.

The tutor was nice but was having problems with the technology. He apparently is new and was unfamiliar with some of the systems and had trouble sharing information. He tried but was not as successful as other tutors. Maybe he is new or the systems have changed.
