Career Experience
I am currently a stay-at-home mom, but prior to having children, I taught high-school Spanish and English for six years and elementary Spanish for five years. I'm certified to teach in three different states, and I've earned my highly-qualified status. I've also taught part-time at a home-school academy and a private Catholic school since I started staying home. I was an English major, and I love to read, discuss literature, and write. The semester I graduated, I was recognized as the English major with the highest GPA in my department for which I received an award. I added a Spanish endorsement to my certification because I'm also very interested in languages. I enjoy taking conversation classes when possible to maintain my speaking skills. I have taken a few courses towards my master's degree, but I haven't completed it yet. When time allows, my goal is to earn my master's in education or English.
I Love Tutoring Because
I enjoy the learning process. I love to teach, and I also enjoy being a student. I feel like learning is a life-long process, and I plan to keep learning until the end. I love tutoring because it allows me to be a part of that discovery process with another person.
