I think before beginning a tutoring session, the tutor should first review the item that the student is requesting help with, and ask what level of confidence the student is at, before proceeding. In do so, it could potentially save tutoring time for the student.

He really helped me out, I just wish this service wasn't time limited per semester because sometimes a single question will take 30 mins to complete so it makes me anxious I will run out of time in the semester.
